Lakeshore is an exquisite modern luxury home community in the desirable Horizon West area of Orlando. We were tasked with creating a cohesive, sophisticated landscaping design that complemented the upscale home designs while seamlessly blending with the pristine natural surroundings.

Design Process

From collaborative meetings with the developer's design team, it was clear cultivating a harmonious connection between home sites and their lakefront setting was paramount. Our landscape architects conceptualized layered plantings providing both visual interest and privacy tailoring. Plant selections focused on salt-tolerant, drought-resistant varietals.

Installation & Construction

Extensive site preparation ensured proper grading and drainage throughout the community's winding roads. We installed lush bedding areas with sculptural hedges and ornamental trees at property entries. Palms of varying heights were strategically placed to create a sense of grand arrival. Environmental preservation was key - our team re-established native aquascapes surrounding the lakefronts.

The finished Landscape

The defining aesthetic is one of sophisticated naturalism. Approaching the grand community entrance, stately palms and hydrangea hedges create an impactful first impression. Inside, waterfront homes enjoy panoramic views across sweeping lakescapes, their backyards framed by dense hammocks of sabal palms. In common areas, clumping bamboos and mixed shrub massings soften expansive community lawns.

Our sustainably-minded maintenance plan utilizes a holistic IPM approach and smart irrigation controllers to reduce environmental impacts and conserve resources. Residents rave about the soothing, resort-inspired ambiance. One homeowner praised: "Lakeshore's grounds make you feel like you're on vacation every single day - it's a naturalistic masterpiece."

From our initial consultation, we were extremely impressed with the attention to detail and thoughtfulness that went into designing Waterstone’s landscaping. Their team took great care to understand our need for a cohesive, luxurious aesthetic that emphasizes privacy while still fostering a true sense of community.

The final result is even more stunning than we imagined. The magnificent stone entry with lush trees sets the tone for the incredible grounds surrounding our homes. Mature oak trees were preserved and complemented by meticulously planned shrubs, ornamental trees, and gardens customized for each residence. We feel like we live in our own private botanical oasis.

Not only is the landscaping gorgeous, but it’s also sustainable thanks to their focus on native, drought-tolerant plants and eco-friendly maintenance practices. The gorgeous blooming bulbs and florals they rotate through are just an added delight.
